Nut-Job Ted Cruz: ‘First They Came For The Golf Courses…’

Need a good laugh? Read this story about how a US Senate candidate from the Tea Party (of course) in Texas sees a massive conspiracy involving George Soros (of course) and the UN (of course) in a secret (yeah, right) effort called Agenda 21 that “attempts to abolish ‘unsustainable’ environments, including golf courses, grazing pastures, and paved roads.”

Now stop laughing for a moment and realize that if Cruz somehow gets the GOP nomination, he will be the new US Senator from Texas, because Texans always elect a GOPer to those positions. In this instance, they would be electing not only a GOPer but also a goober…

lol! Oh, it is truly astonishing what people will allow themselves to believe isn’t it?

mp, the amazing thing is that Cruz, though running for US Senate, is NOT a well-known figure, nor as far as I can tell does he have much experience in the political arena. But the Texas GOP, like the GOP in other states, is finally paying the price for its contract with the devil (specifically, the religious and economic nut-jobs). The Texas GOP has an almost sure thing in general elections (any time they don’t, they just do a mid-cycle redistricting and get a judge to go along with it), but they still have to field candidates that GOPers will vote for (rather than no-voting). It’s the same sort of problem John Boehner faces in the US House, with the Tea Party crazies more or less in control of things despite their being a minority.
