Obama Reg: Employer-Provided Med Insurance Must Cover Birth Control Without Co-Pays

Details from TPM. Obama is trying to recover his progressive base. Considering his reluctance to take a firm stand heretofore on women’s issues, this decision must mean the forthcoming budget proposal is going to be really, really bad.

If only scraps are available, I’ll dine on scraps. But I still won’t vote for the guy.

Stop trying to make me laugh! Too little, too late. Besides, he’s a liar. Too bad we’re all so retarded and on drugs and such.

Don’t get me started. I, myself, am not satisfied with his scraps.

Please understand how difficult it was for me to not use bad language in this comment. For you, Mr. Bates. Only for you.

tsisageya, sometimes I wonder how much, to use the comedienne’s phrase, I have to “lay it in their lap” to get across my intent.

If you read this site regularly, you know I am anything but a fan of Obama. Yes, he is a liar, a chronic liar about some of the most important things any society must address. When he makes decisions like this one, it is only his attempt to capture political advantage. He has no genuine concern for women. But I will accept the deed for its own worth, not the political intent behind it. We are liable to see much, much worse after next Jan. 20, no matter who becomes president.

Feel free to use bad language if it expresses your real meaning and intent. This site is fucking improper when it comes to such matters… and that applies to readers and author alike.

I believe I established my creds on women’s issues in my working years by coding for what is now Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast their first political mailing list system. Yes, I have crossed lines of deranged, hostile people waving signs depicting bloody fetuses and shouting insanely at everyone who entered the clinic. I have breathed the hydrogen sulfide those same zealots released in the clinic occasionally. It was worth it, and I am unapologetic about my right to address women’s issues, my gender notwithstanding.
