The Bat-Signal: MIC CHECK !!!

We all remember the Bat-Signal from the original Batman comics, a signal light projected from the top of (I presume) City Hall in Gotham City onto the clouds above, an outline (more or less) of a gigantic stylized bat… a cry for help, a signal that a superhero is desperately needed.

The tech folks in #Occupy Wall Street went Gotham City one better. Go play the video and read the interview with the creator of the “99%” slideshow… projected, appropriately enough, on the side of the Verizon building, projected, also appropriately enough, from the “projects” … low-income housing… facing that side of the building… and appreciated by the #Occupiers of the Brooklyn Bridge that night.

History may repeat itself, but sometimes it does not mumble. Kudos to Mark Read and his ingenious crew!

This protest theater is brilliant. I suggest an OCCUPY FOX News office of Roger Ailes with thousands of Santa s, Clowns , Key Stone Cops, drag queens and just folks.

karmanot, I’m sure it’s been thought of; I don’t know why they haven’t undertaken that action. Perhaps they wish to deal with government first. Tweaking Bloomberg’s nose guarantees a response!

Good one. I bet these actions really annoy Bloomberg and his like!

jams, IMHO, Bloomberg needs to be not merely annoyed but arrested and charged with a whole platter full of First Amendment violations, probably all of the Amendment’s clauses, but especially the rights of petition and assembly. A bit of jail time for him would cure a multitude of ills.
