Cantor’s Plan Receives Backing From… Who Did You Say?

No, you read it right… Heckuva Job Brownie, Bush’s FEMA director who fucked up the Katrina recovery completely. I’ll give the GOPers this: at least they’re consistent… consistently fucked in the ear, but consistent nonetheless.

Yep, we’ll refer that one to the Bureau of Redundancy Department. As if that asshole, could be quoted on anything.

MandT, if he were quoted on asininity, I would believe what he said on that particular subject, as he is clearly an expert on it. Otherwise, no, I don’t ever want to hear from “Brownie” again. Ever.

It’s almost like they don’t want government to work…

Good to hear from you, NTodd… did you escape the flooding? (I guess I should visit your site before I ask…)

No, they damned well don’t want the gov’t to work, and they want to blame that on Obama, who, in too many instances, is making that easy for them.

We don’t need FEMA at the NTodd Compound, thankfully. I’m glad FEMA is in the state, though, what with so many communities still cut off. The GOP and Tea Partiers can FOAD.

NTodd, as one who has been through a few hurricanes and tropical storms (including T.S. Allison, which produced the mother of all floods right here in Houston), I can say that there was a time when FEMA was a rightly respected agency, with skills required to organize a recovery. I suppose I can’t blame GeeDubya for all that went wrong with FEMA, but Brownie was a Bush buddy who had never done anything remotely resembling managing such an agency, and the result in Katrina was nothing short of cruel. Damn Brownie and the horse he rode in on!
