Stella’s Big Birthday Ending In ‘0’

Tomorrow is Stella’s big birthday. It’s hard to believe she is only three years younger than I am; she looks downright girlish… but I am not a cradle-robber, no matter what people may think when they see us together. Time has been much kinder to her than to me!

On her birthday, we are headed out for a day in Kemah, TX, on the coast, to a B&B called Clipper House Inn, just a few blocks from a locally well-known Boardwalk. The drive there takes us past NASA… we will pass it by, just as Time seems to have done… and past one of the best used book stores in the Houston/Galveston area, which we will NOT pass up. Also not passed up will be a fine Indian restaurant, Cuisine of India; our only regret is that it is not in Houston for more regular accessibility. On the Boardwalk (burst into song if you feel so inspired) we will take in an outdoor concert by a group called The Fuse. Aside from that, we’ll sit and sip drinks as we watch the buoys and gulls (and the buoys and buoys, and the gulls and gulls… this is a nondiscriminatory occasion!).

All of this will take two or perhaps three days, and I’m damned surely not taking a computer with me. I’ll be back online sometime this weekend. Have a good one!

UPDATE Friday night: home safe; had a good time; really tired. More about the adventure tomorrow.

A very happy birthday to Stella!

Chill out, have fun, don’t worry, be happy … the world is in stasis at the moment, so you won’t be missing anything important.

Thank you, one and all. Stella is out celebrating with her late father’s family already this evening; she’s never one to waste an opportunity to party! 🙂 I am looking forward to getting on the road tomorrow morning… among other things, it will be a good test of the degree to which my condition has improved. If I can get out and do things, even occasionally and with limitations, my attitude should be a good deal better! Thanks again, all of you.

Happy birthday, Stella! And happy adventuring, Steve! Here’s an article for you: which proves something all of us know. Musicians are smarter than the rest of us! ;D!

Thanks, ellroon! I’ll read that post tomorrow. BTW, thanks for the Google+ invite, but I don’t do social networking. More about that, too, as time permits.
