A Nation Of Mice?

This charming yet troubling fable is told by an old union man the illustrious Tommy Douglas, about his own nation, Canada, but I think it applies very well to America today.

Steve, Thomas Clement “Tommy” Douglas, PC, CC, SOM was a lot of things, the father of the Canadian Medicare system, the “Greatest Canadian of All Time”, a founder of the New Democratic Party, an ordained minister, a premier of Saskatchewan, a member of the Canadian parliament, but I don’t think he was ever a union leader.

He is definitely one of the “founding fathers” of modern Canada.

Sorry. Repaired without further research on your say-so alone, Bryan. I have some weighty matters on my mind at the moment and may not be paying adequate attention to detail.

“I have some weighty matters on my mind at the moment” Hope all is well. Take good care of yourself.

There aren’t many in the US who know much about Canada, but Mr. Douglas’s name has comes up down here because of all of the “Snowbirds” who winter down here and deal with our health care system.

They volunteer with a lot of local groups and many actually own property, so they are part-time neighbors.
