Could Rush Limbaugh actually say something so awful that even Republicans disapprove of it?

Rush is reportedly losing advertisers after calling law student Sandra Fluke a “slut” for testifying before a House committee on the dangers to women’s lives of making hormonal medications (including The Pill) unavailable. Rush might think twice about his revenue stream if he intends to continue that thread.
But if Limp Bough keeps this up, considering the number of young women in excellent cardiovascular and muscular condition, many with training in the martial arts… he might have other things to worry about besides his advertising revenue. He might, for example, want to check his supply of OxyContin, ’cause he could end up in a world o’ hurt…
UPDATE: Rush “apologized” to Fluke for “the insulting word choices” … not “my insulting word choices” but “the … choices”. I wonder who made those choices… some unknown member of the vast left-wing conspiracy? Rush should instead apologize to the whole world for being human scum.

His problem is that instead of offering an pro forma non-apology apology, he took on the standard right-wing mantle of victimhood, and doubled down on his misogyny.
At least three major advertisers fled the area to cut their losses from association with him, and I can’t imagine any corporation in the US dumb enough to hang around after he has enraged the half of the population that does the bulk of the shopping in the US.
This piled on top of the contraception mess, and the ultrasound mess, and the GOP primaries … it is not a good time to be a Republican running for office in anything but the reddest of red districts.
Bryan, two things still worry me:
* Most Republicans end up voting for the Republican who runs, no matter how much they may detest him or (rarely) her;
* Although election fraud is exceedingly rare (difficult and with low payoff), election theft is easy and there’s precedent. What the GOPers can’t win legitimately, they will try to steal.
We have arseholes on radios and with newspaper columns here but none on the scale of Limbaugh. Defending the Lords Resistance Army as he did last year? The man is an ignorant piece of shit
As an abtidote I would always recommend the late, great Bill Hicks and his sketch on Limbaugh. Utterly obscene but you will never look at Limbaugh in the same way again!
The only thing more repulsive than Limbaugh is the crowd of “ditto-heads” that follow him. Like sheep… they really flock!
